Aim:
To teach the skills, habits and attitudes to help students become successful employees. To help students develop a mind set whereby they can visualize themselves as possible future employers. To help students understand and value the importance of work. To help students make informed career choices.
Rationale:
Studies have shown that people's perceptions of themselves is tied to how they see themselves at work. Recognizing the fact that work is directly tied to a person's economic well-being and a person's self-esteem, students must learn and practice the skills, habits, and attitudes of the workplace.
Philosophy:
The Antler River School Division has become partners with the community in developing the teaching cooperative education programs to prepare youth from all educational streams for success. These programs are being developed around a solid core of fundamental beliefs and principles which are:

* Encourage self-esteem and frequent success.
* Learn how to analyze situations, solve problems and make informed decisions for lifelong learning, both individually and as part of a team.

* Provide the opportunity for practical experience.
* Develop the necessary attitudes, skills and work ethic to be employable and to develop the confidence and mindset to think of themselves as entrepreneurs.
